New York State Fair

Yesterday we traveled to Syracuse for the New York State Fair. The kids had fun on the rides and seeing all of the animals. It was beautiful weather but as the day wore on, it became way too crowded (see photo above) so we left at 6:30 and ate dinner at the Plainville Turkey Farms restaurant on the way home. They serve Thanksgiving dinner there every day. It is sooooooooooooooo delicious!

In other news, we are re-doing our kitchen. I've been watching too many of those shows where they redo a room for just a few hundred dollars. I'm only working 2 out of the 5 school days so far so I will have waaaay too much time on my hands. So a kitchen re-do will keep me plenty occupied! I will post before and after photos as soon as it's done.

Great photo! Good job, Mark!
Yes, the Fair was tons of fun. I loved watching the boys on the rides but I held my breath watching some of the time. ((-:
I could not get over the massive crowd as we were leaving!
The pig judging was great, too! Glad the boys could see that.

You guys saw pig judging?? Did you know that I used to show pigs when I was growing up? Uncle Scott & I just got back from the family farm, actually. No pigs anymore, but there were a few cows and a couple of farm cats :-)
